Why select this training course?

As more women enter the workforce, it is important to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the workplace. Women’s innate sense of responsibility and creativity is widely acknowledged; however, for women to succeed in leadership positions, it is important to provide them with the confidence, support, and encouragement necessary to ensure their success. The Rcademy Women Leadership Training Program is designed to provide women with the skills, attitudes, qualities, and traits needed in the workplace. This training program provides participants with a unique opportunity to master the various leadership competencies required to succeed in today’s corporate environment. The program covers tools for boosting self-awareness, self-management, and self-confidence. It also covers common misconceptions about women’s leadership and how to correct and overcome such bias. Participants will learn how to maintain a work-life balance and express themselves effectively. Focus is also given to the habits of effective women leaders, techniques for resolving workplace challenges, and the strategies for becoming a transformational leader.

What are women in leadership and why does it matter?

Women in leadership refer to the participation of women in leadership roles and positions. It is acknowledged that having women in leadership positions is vital in advancing the interests and values of the organization. Women are transformational leaders and serve as vital role models for their subordinates. They inspire their team and help create a broader societal impact on workplace policies, inclusion, diversity, and equity. Having women in leadership is important because of the following factors:

  • Women are better communicators
  • Women make for amazing mentors
  • Women are empathetic
  • They bring in fresh perspectives and ideas
  • They lead more effectively

What are the common barriers to women’s participation in leadership?

In today’s corporate environment, women leaders are still a minority. This is no surprise, as many women are still down by various societal barriers. What is surprising is that men still outpace women in major leadership positions across almost all sectors, including education, military, religion, government, corporate, medicine, and non-profit. However, during the last decade, women have attained parity with men in the labor market and middle-management positions. Women presently comprise 52% of the U.S. professional and management positions and 57% of the total U.S. labor market. They also make up 60% of bachelor’s degrees offered at U.S. institutions. However, regardless of these gains, there still exist certain barriers that inhibit women’s participation in leadership, some of which include:

  • Structural barriers
  • Individual mindsets
  • Cultural barriers
  • Lifestyle choices
  • Institutional mindsets
  • Gender bias and stereotyping
  • Hostile workplace cultures
